We make slightly nostalgic yet bold baby blankets handcrafted with love, a dash of sass and a whole lot of snuggles. Plus, we make sure that our production process is good for people and the planet. Before we get into all the specifics of our blankets, allow us to give you a brief background on the tiny team behind the brand.

Joanna.

Growing up, my mom used to hand-sew clothes for me. Sometimes very Thierry Mugler extravaganza style. My love affair with clothes only grew from there. I would give thrift shop finds a new life, and during my studies, I discovered sustainable fashion and dove headfirst into it. I even had my own sustainable fashion blog for a hot minute! But the thought of designing and selling my own pieces? It was just too daunting.

So I left Poland and set out to find my path in life abroad. I was working as a Project Manager at a creative agency in Amsterdam. Loving every bit of the nightlife and all this fun a single soul could have. Then life took a 180-degree turn with the arrival of COVID-19.

The Plot twist

When I visited my friend, *who turned out my partner*, thanks to the pandemic, I couldn’t return to the Netherlands. So I stayed…and stayed..and stayed. Before I knew it, I had moved back to Poland permanently. Surrounded by friends, family and love, I finally mustered up the courage to leave my career abroad and chase my fashion dream. But life had yet another surprise – I was about to become a mom.

The thought was absolutely overwhelming. Would I lose my identity, the “Joanna” in me, to motherhood? Would my social life be replaced by lullabies and baby talk? I had so many doubts and worries…but then, Hanna arrived.

Hanka.

Her birth was a whirlwind of emotions. I felt scattered. Lost in a maze of sleepless nights, eternal cries, and a constant yearning for my old self. But as days turned into weeks, I began to see the magic she brought into my life.

Yes, she drained me. Took away my sleep, and sometimes my sanity. Yet, in the midst of this chaos, she became my anchor. Watching her wide-eyed wonder as she explored my world. Seeing her effortlessly become a part of my friend circle as if she had always belonged, filled me with indescribable joy. She was the balance I never knew I needed. Through her, I found a renewed strength, not just to rediscover myself but to soar higher. To show her the limitless horizons of what I could achieve.

The Muse

Feeling inspired, I wanted to dive back into fashion, but this time, with Hanna as my muse. In a world dominated by “Sad Beige Kids,” I saw an opportunity, a canvas waiting to be painted with vibrant colours. So, with a needle of creativity, I began to sew for my daughter. I was determined to create something special and one-of-a-kind. Just like the pieces my mother hand-sewed for me as a child. That one day, when Hanna was 4 months old, I crafted a blanket from leftover fabric. It shortly became a statement. A piece that resonated with my individuality and was versatile enough for our social adventures. Be it art galleries or weekend getaways.
